NATIONAL CHILDRENSWEAR SURVEY LAUNCHED

Seven years since Select recruited the last National Sizing Survey measuring men and women, we are pleased to announce a new major research project to measure children, Shape GB, sponsored by major retailers. Shape GB is the first large-scale project to measure children across the country using 3D body scanners.



The National Childrenswear Survey is in three Phases, the first Phase of which is a collaboration between Next, Monsoon, George at ASDA, The University of Hertfordshire, Manchester Metropolitan University, Loughborough University and managed by Select given our long-term experience in 3D scanning and sizing surveys. Select have experience of managing a previous children’s survey measuring over 3,500 children for M&S in 1999.



Shape GB will aim to measure at least 6,000 boys and girls aged 4-17 across the country during 2009 using 3D Body Imaging Scanners. Over 250 children have already been measured by Select in a pilot study for in Birmingham and a dedicated website has been set up to allow parents to register their children for Phase 1 of Shape GB which commences in March.
