Lycra Fit Finder - First use of 2D to 3D technology for custom clothing

In 2014, Select were approached by Lycra to collaborate with them on a possible new sizing solution for hosiery fit.

Since January 2011, Select had confidentially developed a new measurement system for the Body Volume Index (BVI), just using images collected from a smartphone or a tablet. Using their unreleased 2D to 3D measurement system, Select developed a confidential version for Lycra, which became embodied and known as the LYCRA F!T FINDER app. Working in collaboration with two of Lycra’s clients, Gatta in Poland and Maidenform in the US, the app was tested with many female consumers, across both countries, for best clothing and hosiery fit.

The use of Select’s technology and the processes involved were never disclosed to consumers. This project was directly with and confidential to Lycra.
